Job Description
Join Australia Post as a dedicated Courier Runner and become a key part of our dynamic delivery team in Rockhampton. This active role is perfect for individuals who thrive on the move, enjoy navigating city locations, and are committed to ensuring timely and secure package deliveries. You’ll be responsible for collecting, sorting, and delivering parcels and mail to residential and business customers across various city routes. We’re looking for reliable, energetic individuals with excellent time management skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Full training on our systems and safety protocols will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport mail and parcels.
- Collect outgoing mail and parcels from designated locations.
- Sort and load parcels according to delivery routes.
- Deliver mail and parcels to customers on assigned routes in Rockhampton.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and handle delivery exceptions.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Perform routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License (minimum P2 classification).
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 25kg repeatedly.
- Strong navigation and geographical knowledge of Rockhampton and surrounding areas.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual work ethic.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery, courier, or driving role.
- Knowledge of handheld scanning devices or delivery management systems.
- First Aid certification.
