Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Smallgoods Packer to join our team in Dubbo. This full-time position involves working in a chilled environment, packing a variety of smallgoods to meet production targets and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, physically fit, and able to work efficiently as part of a team. Full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and competent in all aspects of the role. This position offers consistent hours and attractive penalty rates for eligible shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pack smallgoods into designated packaging according to product specifications.
- Operate packing machinery safely and efficiently after receiving training.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area in a chilled environment.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as required.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production targets.
- Perform other general duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cold/chilled environment (appropriate PPE provided).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 15kg repetitively.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for packing lists and quality checks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food handling, packing, or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of HACCP or other food safety principles.
- Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience operating basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack).
