Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart a career in a dynamic manufacturing environment? Orora Limited is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our Gold Coast team as a Raw Materials Handler. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone eager to learn and grow, with full training provided, including certification for forklift operation. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout our facility, playing a crucial role in our production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming raw materials against purchase orders and quality standards.
- Safely transport raw materials to designated storage areas using appropriate equipment (forklift training provided).
- Accurately record and update inventory levels, assisting with stock counts and reconciliation.
- Prepare and stage materials for production lines according to schedules and requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the warehouse and receiving areas.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper handling of materials and equipment.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure efficient material flow.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying (up to 20kg).
- Willingness to learn and commit to ongoing training.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- High School Certificate or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is a plus (but not essential).
- Valid Australian driver's license.
- Familiarity with inventory systems or basic computer skills.
