Job Description

Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in your community? Care UK is seeking dedicated and empathetic individuals to join our team as Community Care Offsiders in Crawley and surrounding areas. This rewarding role involves providing essential support to individuals in their homes, helping them maintain independence and enjoy a high quality of life. As a Community Care Offsider, you will travel between client homes, offering practical and emotional support tailored to their unique needs. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for those new to care or looking for a fulfilling career change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
  • Support clients with light household tasks and errands.
  • Accompany clients to appointments or social outings.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition.
  • Travel safely and efficiently between client homes within the designated service area.
  • Adhere to all care plans, company policies, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the care team.

Required Skills

  • A genuine passion for helping others and a compassionate nature.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel and a full valid driving licence with access to a vehicle.
  • Basic IT literacy for record-keeping.
  • The right to work in the UK.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a care-giving role (voluntary or paid) is advantageous but not essential.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • First Aid certification.
