Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart your career in a hands-on trade? Dalby Premium Flooring Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Floor Sander Assistant to join our growing team. This is an entry-level position perfect for individuals with no prior experience in floor sanding. We are committed to providing comprehensive on-the-job training to ensure you develop the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this specialized field. You will work alongside experienced professionals, learning all aspects of timber floor preparation, sanding, and finishing, primarily in indoor environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior floor sanders with the preparation of work sites, including moving furniture and covering surrounding areas.
- Learn and perform basic floor sanding tasks under supervision, adhering to safety guidelines and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain sanding equipment and tools safely and effectively after receiving proper training.
- Clean and prepare floor surfaces for sanding, including sweeping, vacuuming, and minor repairs.
- Assist with the application of sealers, stains, and finishes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients as required.
Required Skills
- No prior experience required – full training will be provided.

- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor.
