Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Aquaculture Labourer to join our team in Southport. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to start a career in the dynamic aquaculture industry. You will be involved in the daily operations of our coastal fish farm, ensuring the health and well-being of our aquatic stock and contributing to efficient farm management. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily feeding and monitoring of fish stock.
- Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of tanks, nets, and farm equipment.
- Monitor water quality parameters and report any anomalies.
- Participate in harvesting, grading, and packing operations.
- Assist with the repair and installation of farm infrastructure.
- Adhere strictly to biosecurity and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of feed consumption, growth rates, and stock movement.
- Support senior staff with various aquaculture tasks as required.

- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar outdoor labour role or agricultural setting (not essential, but an advantage).
- Current First Aid certification.
- Forklift license (an advantage, training may be provided).
- Understanding of basic marine or aquaculture principles.
- Residency in or proximity to the Gold Coast area.
