Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Aquaculture Labourer to join our team in Southport. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to start a career in the dynamic aquaculture industry. You will be involved in the daily operations of our coastal fish farm, ensuring the health and well-being of our aquatic stock and contributing to efficient farm management. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily feeding and monitoring of fish stock.
  • Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of tanks, nets, and farm equipment.
  • Monitor water quality parameters and report any anomalies.
  • Participate in harvesting, grading, and packing operations.
  • Assist with the repair and installation of farm infrastructure.
  • Adhere strictly to biosecurity and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of feed consumption, growth rates, and stock movement.
  • Support senior staff with various aquaculture tasks as required.

  • Current First Aid certification.
  • Forklift license (an advantage, training may be provided).
  • Understanding of basic marine or aquaculture principles.
  • Residency in or proximity to the Gold Coast area.
