Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Analyst Intern to join our team in Geelong. This entry-level internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in retail inventory management, focusing on data analysis, stock optimization, and supply chain efficiency within a fast-paced retail environment. You will work closely with experienced professionals to understand key inventory metrics, contribute to stock movement strategies, and support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting and analyzing inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Support the development and implementation of inventory control procedures.
- Collaborate with store operations and supply chain teams to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
- Help prepare reports on inventory performance, including turnover rates, stockouts, and overstock situations.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and reconciliation processes as needed.
- Learn to use inventory management software and tools effectively.
- Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing overall supply chain efficiency and accuracy.
