Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as Abattoir Cleaners for night shifts at our Byron Bay facility. This crucial role ensures our processing areas meet the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation, vital for food safety and operational efficiency. You will work as part of a close-knit team, maintaining a clean and safe environment during non-operational hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of abattoir production areas, including floors, walls, machinery, and equipment.
  • Operate high-pressure cleaning equipment and other cleaning tools safely and effectively.
  • Adhere strictly to all company hygiene, safety, and operational procedures.
  • Handle and dispose of waste materials according to protocols.
  • Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
  • Work collaboratively with the cleaning team to achieve daily targets and maintain team morale.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work night shifts and weekends as required, with flexibility.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform demanding tasks in a cold and wet environment.

  • Current driver's license and reliable transport to and from the Byron Bay facility.
