Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to join our dynamic team within the hospital and clinical settings in Wodonga. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career progression within a supportive environment. As an Enrolled Nurse, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, contributing to a positive patient experience and efficient healthcare delivery. You will work across various clinical areas, gaining diverse experience and developing your skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration (within scope of practice), wound care, and personal hygiene assistance.
- Assist Registered Nurses with patient assessments, care planning, and evaluations.
- Document patient observations, care interventions, and responses accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised clinical environment.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and relevant legislative requirements.
- Participate in professional development activities and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Support junior staff and students in their learning and development.
Required Skills
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2)
- Diploma of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centred care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Basic computer literacy for electronic medical records
- Current immunisation status as per health service policy
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an acute hospital setting
- Experience with electronic medical record systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic)
- Post-qualification specialty courses or certifications
