Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Logistics Labourer to join our dynamic team in Palmerston, NT. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our distribution centre, involving various physical tasks related to receiving, sorting, moving, and dispatching goods. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, requiring a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This position offers attractive penalty rates for eligible shifts, reflecting our commitment to rewarding hard work. Immediate start available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload goods from trucks and containers.
- Sort and organise stock within the warehouse, ensuring correct placement.
- Move inventory using pallet jacks or other equipment as required (training provided).
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Fulfil other general labouring duties as directed by the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (beneficial but not essential).
- Forklift license (LF) or experience with pallet jacks is a plus.
- First Aid certificate.
