Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to join our dynamic team in the UK. This pivotal role involves performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on various aircraft types to ensure their airworthiness and operational readiness. You will work within a rigorous regulatory framework, upholding the highest standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications on aircraft systems and components.
- Execute troubleshooting and fault diagnosis using technical documentation, test equipment, and industry best practices.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in strict compliance with aviation regulations (e.g., EASA Part-145, CAA), company procedures, and manufacturer specifications.
- Document all maintenance actions accurately and completely, maintaining detailed records of work performed.
- Collaborate effectively with flight crew, operations teams, and other engineering personnel to ensure seamless aircraft operations.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to maintain and enhance technical competencies and qualifications.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians as required.
Required Skills
- EASA Part-66 B1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence (or equivalent CAA licence)
- Minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and fault diagnosis on complex aircraft systems
- Thorough understanding of aviation regulations and airworthiness requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
- Proficiency in interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
Preferred Qualifications
- Type ratings on specific aircraft relevant to our operations (e.g., Airbus A320 family, Boeing 737NG)
- Experience with maintenance control software systems
- Relevant vocational training or higher education in aeronautical engineering or a related field
- Valid UK driving licence
