Job Description
Are you an energetic and physically active individual looking for a dynamic role? Port City Airport Services is seeking a motivated Airport Luggage Trolley Retriever to join our team at Stockton Metropolitan Airport. This is an active, on-site role that involves continuous walking and being outdoors in various weather conditions. You will be responsible for ensuring a sufficient supply of trolleys for passengers and maintaining clear pathways throughout the airport premises. Key Responsibilities
- Collect and retrieve luggage trolleys from various locations across the airport, including terminals, parking areas, and arrival/departure zones.
- Distribute trolleys to designated stations, ensuring availability for passenger use.
- Organize and stack trolleys neatly and safely, preventing obstruction to pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
- Regularly patrol airport grounds to identify and collect misplaced trolleys.
- Operate trolley retrieval equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Report any damaged trolleys or equipment issues to immediate supervisor.
- Adhere to all airport safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with passengers and airport staff.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
Required Skills
- Ability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods throughout an entire shift.
- Physical stamina and strength to push, pull, and maneuver multiple luggage trolleys.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills to interact with passengers and colleagues.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role or outdoor work environment.
- Familiarity with airport operations or large public venues.
