Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Farm Manager to oversee our agricultural operations in Phoenix, Arizona. This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of farm production, from crop planning and cultivation to harvest and post-harvest management, ensuring optimal yield and quality. The Commercial Farm Manager will be responsible for operational efficiency, team leadership, budget management, and implementing best practices in sustainable agriculture. This position offers international sponsorship for eligible candidates looking to relocate and contribute their expertise to our expanding operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily farm operations, including planting, irrigation, pest control, fertilization, and harvesting schedules.
- Develop and implement comprehensive crop plans to maximize yield and quality while minimizing costs.
- Manage and lead a team of farm workers, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor and maintain farm equipment, ensuring all machinery is in optimal working condition.
- Prepare and manage the farm budget, including forecasting expenses and revenue.
- Ensure compliance with all agricultural regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Implement sustainable farming practices and explore new technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of crop production, inventory, labor, and other operational data.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure product meets market demand and quality standards.
- Report on farm performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior management.
- Manage international sponsorship processes and support onboarding for eligible candidates.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in commercial farm management or a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of crop science, soil management, irrigation systems, and pest control.
