Job Description

Are you looking to kickstart a rewarding career in a vital industry? CityFibre is offering an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Cable Puller / Installer. This entry-level position is perfect for motivated individuals with no prior experience in cabling or telecommunications. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior technicians with the installation of fibre optic cables in various environments (underground, overhead, internal).
  • Prepare work sites, including setting up safety barriers and organizing tools and materials.
  • Pull and route cables according to technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Perform basic fault-finding and cable maintenance tasks under supervision.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.

Required Skills

  • A strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team.
  • Basic physical fitness for manual labor, including lifting and working in varied environments.
  • Commitment to health and safety practices.
  • Excellent time management and reliability.
  • Full valid UK driving license (essential for site travel).

Preferred Qualifications

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Math.
  • Any previous experience in a manual labor, construction, or outdoor role.
  • A general interest in technology or telecommunications.
