Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate AR/VR Software Engineer to join our growing team in Barcelona. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge AR/VR applications and platforms. You will work on various aspects of our technology stack, from real-time 3D graphics and interaction design to spatial computing and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy high-performance AR/VR applications for various platforms (e.g., Meta Quest, HoloLens, custom hardware).
- Implement robust and scalable software solutions for real-time 3D rendering, physics, and interaction.
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to define features and deliver compelling user experiences.
- Optimize application performance, memory usage, and battery life for mobile and standalone AR/VR devices.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and champion best practices in software development.
- Research and integrate new AR/VR technologies and methodologies to enhance our product offerings.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues across different hardware configurations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in C# and Unity3D or C++ and Unreal Engine.
- Strong understanding of 3D graphics principles, linear algebra, and real-time rendering pipelines.
- Experience with AR/VR SDKs and platforms (e.g., OpenXR, ARKit, ARCore, Oculus SDK, SteamVR).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and optimize high-performance, real-time interactive applications.
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with shader programming (HLSL/GLSL) and GPU optimization.
- Knowledge of computer vision, SLAM, or spatial understanding techniques.
- Familiarity with networked AR/VR experiences and multiplayer architectures.
- Experience with mobile development (iOS/Android).
- Portfolio showcasing previous AR/VR projects or 3D interactive applications.
