Job Description
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Community Care Assistants to join our team in Girona. This role involves providing essential care and support to individuals living in their own homes, enabling them to maintain independence and enhance their quality of life. This position offers flexible working hours and includes paid travel time between client visits, ensuring you are fairly compensated for your commitment. You will be a vital part of our community, delivering person-centred care that respects each client’s dignity and preferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with personal care routines, including washing, dressing, and grooming.
- Supporting medication management through reminders and documentation.
- Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding if required.
- Performing light domestic duties to maintain a tidy and safe living space.
- Providing companionship and engaging clients in social activities.
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in a client's health or well-being to the care coordinator.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records of care provided.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- A genuine passion for caring for others and a compassionate nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
- A valid driving license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential for this role, as travel between client homes is required.
- Basic proficiency in Spanish is required to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Willingness to undergo and complete comprehensive training provided by DomusVi.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care setting, whether formal or informal.
- A Certificado de Profesionalidad de Atención Sociosanitaria a Personas en el Domicilio, or an equivalent qualification in health and social care.
- First Aid or Basic Life Support certification.
- Knowledge of the Catalan language is a plus.
