Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Architecture Draftsperson to join our growing team in Beaumont, Texas. The successful candidate will be instrumental in transforming design concepts into detailed technical drawings, contributing to a diverse range of architectural projects from initial sketches to final construction documents. You will work closely with architects and project managers, ensuring precision, compliance with building codes, and adherence to project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software from preliminary designs and sketches.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure designs are accurate, complete, and meet project specifications and standards.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project managers, clients, and regulatory authorities.
- Research and incorporate building codes, regulations, and industry standards into design documents.
- Assist in the coordination of drawings with other disciplines (structural, MEP, civil) to ensure complete project integration.
- Maintain organized project documentation, including drawing logs and revision histories.
- Contribute to the development of presentation materials and graphic representations as needed.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Strong understanding of architectural drafting principles and standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective teamwork.
- A portfolio demonstrating previous drafting work is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software beyond Revit.
- Familiarity with local and national building codes (e.g., IBC).
- Experience with rendering software (e.g., SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in an architectural or engineering drafting role.
