Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dairy Farm Milking Assistant to join our team for early morning shifts. This hands-on role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring the health and productivity of our herd and the quality of our milk. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to learn about dairy farming, animal care, and contributing to the local agricultural sector. Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the daily milking routines of the dairy herd, primarily during early morning shifts.
  • Ensuring the milking parlour and equipment are kept clean and hygienic to meet strict health and safety standards.
  • Monitoring the health and welfare of cows, reporting any concerns to the farm manager.
  • Assisting with the movement of cows to and from the milking parlour.
  • Performing general farm duties as required, including bedding, feeding, and facility maintenance.
  • Adhering to all farm protocols, animal welfare guidelines, and biosecurity measures.

  • Punctual and reliable, with the ability to commit to early morning starts.
