Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Athletic Director / Head Coach to lead our expanding athletic department with a focus on international sponsorship initiatives. This pivotal role involves overseeing all athletic programs, coaching a primary sport, and developing strategic partnerships with international organizations and sponsors. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong commitment to both athletic achievement and the holistic development of our student-athletes. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a proven coaching record, and the ability to drive our international athletic presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the athletic department.
- Oversee all aspects of athletic programs, including budgeting, scheduling, and facility management.
- Serve as Head Coach for a designated sport, leading practices, game strategies, and athlete development.
- Identify, cultivate, and secure international sponsorships and partnerships.
- Manage and mentor coaching staff and support personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all athletic regulations, governing bodies, and institutional policies.
- Promote student-athlete welfare, academic success, and character development.
- Represent the institution at local, regional, national, and international athletic events.
Required Skills
- Proven leadership and management experience in an athletic setting.
- Demonstrated success as a Head Coach in a collegiate or equivalent program.
- Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in program development and strategic planning.
- Ability to travel internationally for sponsorship and recruitment.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Sports Management, Education, or a related field.
- Experience with international student-athlete recruitment or exchange programs.
- Fluency in a second language relevant to international sports markets (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin).
- Existing network of international athletic contacts or sponsors.
