Job Description
We are seeking a highly reliable and detail-oriented Aviation Parts Courier to join our dynamic team in Ontario, CA. This fast-paced role is crucial for ensuring the timely and secure delivery of critical aviation components to our clients, including airlines, MRO facilities, and aerospace manufacturers. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting a variety of parts, often under strict time constraints, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and adherence to safety protocols. A clean driving record and a strong commitment to punctuality are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport aviation parts and components to various client locations within designated timeframes.
- Verify contents of packages against delivery manifests and ensure accuracy before and after transit.
- Handle delicate and high-value aviation parts with extreme care, following all handling instructions.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized company vehicle, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and internal teams regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and aviation security regulations.
- Complete necessary paperwork and electronic logs accurately for each delivery and pickup.
- Assist with loading and unloading parts as required, using appropriate lifting techniques or equipment.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no major infractions within the last 5 years).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to perform under time pressure.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
- Ability to navigate using GPS and read maps effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a courier, delivery driver, or in a logistics role, especially with time-sensitive materials.
- Familiarity with aviation terminology or parts.
- Experience operating various types of delivery vehicles.
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns in Southern California.
