Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically capable Baggage Porter to join our team, serving both our hotel guests and assisting with airport-related baggage handling needs for our shuttle services. This is a crucial, hands-on role that requires excellent customer service skills and a strong ability to manage physical tasks. You will be the face of our service, ensuring the smooth and secure movement of luggage for guests arriving and departing from our hotel, and assisting with transfer services to and from major Sydney airports. Full training will be provided for the right candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm and a commitment to service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival and departure with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Efficiently and safely transport luggage to and from guest rooms, hotel entrance, and shuttle vehicles.
  • Assist guests with general inquiries, directions, and hotel information.
  • Operate luggage trolleys and other equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the lobby, baggage storage areas, and hotel entrance.
  • Provide support for special events or group arrivals requiring significant baggage handling.
  • Collaborate with front desk, concierge, and shuttle drivers to ensure seamless guest experience.
  • Adhere to all safety and security protocols regarding guest property and hotel operations.

Required Skills

  • Strong physical fitness and stamina, capable of lifting and carrying heavy luggage.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • A positive attitude and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is an advantage.
  • A valid Australian Driver's License.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with the local Campbelltown and Sydney area.
