Job Description
Join the vibrant team at one of Vancouver’s premier nightclubs as a Bar Glass Collector. This essential role is critical to maintaining the flow and cleanliness of our busy bar areas, ensuring our guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience. You will be responsible for quickly and efficiently collecting empty glasses, bottles, and general refuse from designated areas, supporting our bar staff, and contributing to the overall upkeep of the venue during peak hours. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone energetic, reliable, and eager to be part of a fast-paced nightlife environment. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently collect and remove empty glasses, bottles, and other waste from bar tops, tables, and guest areas.
- Sort and transport collected items to designated washing or disposal areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, ensuring a tidy and safe environment for guests and staff.
- Support bar staff by restocking glassware, ice, and other supplies as needed.
- Assist with general venue tidiness and waste management throughout shifts.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Communicate effectively with bar staff and management to anticipate needs and ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift moderate weights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and a team-player mentality.
- Must be 19 years of age or older (due to liquor service regulations).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge of basic health and safety practices in a venue setting.
