Job Description
Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated BIM Coordinator / Manager to join our dynamic team in Mississauga, Ontario. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced BIM professional looking to advance their career with a leading Canadian infrastructure company. You will act as a central point of contact for all BIM-related activities, ensuring seamless coordination, data integrity, and efficient project delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain BIM execution plans and project standards.
- Manage and coordinate BIM models from various disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP, civil).
- Perform clash detection and resolution using relevant software (e.g., Navisworks).
- Provide technical support and training to project teams on BIM software and workflows.
- Ensure data integrity and quality control of BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors regarding BIM deliverables and requirements.
- Generate reports, quantities, and visualizations from BIM models as required.
- Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies, trends, and best practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in BIM coordination or management within the AEC industry.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of BIM standards, protocols, and workflows (e.g., ISO 19650).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Problem-solving aptitude with a keen eye for detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience with other BIM-related software (e.g., Bentley MicroStation, Synchro, Solibri).
- PMP or other relevant professional certifications.
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects.
