Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Biodegradable Plastics Factory Worker to join our innovative manufacturing facility in Blacktown, NSW. This full-time, on-site role involves operating and monitoring machinery on rotating shifts to produce high-quality biodegradable plastic products. You will play a crucial role in our commitment to sustainable manufacturing, ensuring efficient production and adherence to all safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor manufacturing machinery and equipment for biodegradable plastics production.
  • Perform routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
  • Load and unload materials, including raw plastics and finished products, as required.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, operational procedures, and quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report significant malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve production targets and maintain workflow.
  • Assist with packaging and palletising finished products for dispatch.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
  • Reliability and punctuality for rotating shift schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating plastics manufacturing machinery.
  • Current forklift license and experience (LF class).
  • Basic understanding of production processes and quality control principles.
  • Knowledge of waste management or recycling processes.
