Job Description
Are you an early riser with a passion for food and a desire to kickstart your culinary career? The Riverbend Bistro is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Entry Level Breakfast Cook to join our friendly kitchen team. No prior professional cooking experience is required – we’re looking for someone with a great attitude, a willingness to learn, and reliability. This role offers comprehensive on-the-job training, allowing you to develop essential kitchen skills from scratch. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assist with basic food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and setting up stations
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Monitor inventory levels for breakfast ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen supervisor
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Learn and adapt to new recipes and cooking techniques under the guidance of senior chefs
- Ensure timely and efficient preparation of all menu items during service hours
Required Skills
- Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Strong work ethic and a desire to learn new skills
- Excellent reliability and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and willingness to adhere to food safety standards
- A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
- No prior professional cooking experience required – full training provided
