Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and reliable Carriage / Horse-Drawn Tour Driver to join our team in Matane. This role is perfect for individuals who possess a deep love for animals, excellent customer service skills, and a desire to share the charm of Matane with visitors. As a tour driver, you will be responsible for safely operating horse-drawn carriages, engaging with guests, providing informative commentary, and ensuring the well-being of our horses. If you are an experienced driver, comfortable handling horses, and enjoy interacting with people, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate horse-drawn carriages along designated tour routes in Matane.
- Provide engaging and informative commentary about local landmarks, history, and culture.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of all passengers throughout the tour.
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections of carriages and harness equipment.
- Assist with the grooming, feeding, and general care of our horses.
- Maintain a clean and presentable carriage at all times.
- Handle financial transactions and manage tour bookings as needed.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in handling and caring for horses.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
