Job Description

Canadian Tire in Port Alberni is seeking enthusiastic and friendly individuals to join our team as a Cashier / Customer Service Assistant. No prior experience is needed for this role – we believe in providing comprehensive training to help you succeed. Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and provide correct change.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries, locating items, and resolving basic issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and assist with general store cleanliness.
- Promote Canadian Tire loyalty programs and special offers to customers.
- Assist with merchandising tasks, including stocking shelves and fronting products when needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and loss prevention.
