Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Casual Instructors to deliver engaging training programs during day shifts at our Mount Isa campus. As a Casual Instructor, you will be responsible for facilitating practical and theoretical learning sessions, assessing student progress, and maintaining a supportive and dynamic classroom environment. This role is perfect for individuals with industry experience who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and skills with the next generation of professionals. We offer flexible scheduling to fit your availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging, and relevant training sessions to diverse groups of students.
  • Prepare and maintain teaching materials, equipment, and learning resources.
  • Assess student competency through various methods, providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievement.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to all workplace health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance program delivery and student outcomes.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices relevant to your area of expertise.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated expertise in a vocational field relevant to our training programs (e.g., business, administration, trades, health care support, community services).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse learners.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Current driver's license and reliable transport.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a training, teaching, or mentoring role.
  • Relevant industry certifications or licenses.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
