Job Description
Join Coles Group as a Casual Merchandiser, playing a vital role in ensuring our stores are well-stocked, visually appealing, and ready for our customers. This flexible role focuses on day shifts and requires travel between various Coles locations within the Launceston region. You will be responsible for stock rotation, shelf replenishment, planogram implementation, and building strong relationships with store teams to maximize product presentation and sales. Ideal for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute planograms and merchandising directives accurately to ensure product placement and presentation standards are met.
- Replenish shelves, rotate stock, and manage product facings to maintain an appealing and organized shopping environment.
- Monitor stock levels, identify potential out-of-stock situations, and communicate with store management.
- Set up promotional displays and ensure pricing is correct and visible to customers.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with store managers and team members.
- Provide feedback on merchandising effectiveness and opportunities for improvement.
- Travel between various Coles stores in the Launceston area as required.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable vehicle for travel.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of retail operations and merchandising principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a merchandising or retail role (e.g., shelf stacker, stockroom assistant).
- Familiarity with planograms and retail display standards.
- Experience working with Coles Group or another major retailer.
