Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Cloud Architect with deep expertise in both AWS and Azure platforms to join our dynamic team in Walsall. As a Cloud Architect, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions for our diverse client portfolio. You will provide technical leadership, guide project teams, and ensure alignment with best practices and strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of complex cloud solutions on AWS and Azure platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Develop and implement cloud migration strategies, working closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Provide expert guidance on cloud governance, cost optimization, and operational best practices.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud solutions.
- Create comprehensive architectural documentation, including design specifications, diagrams, and deployment guides.
- Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Stay abreast of the latest cloud technologies, trends, and industry standards to drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect with extensive hands-on experience in AWS and Azure services.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, identity, and access management (IAM) principles.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
- Experience with other cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Demonstrated experience in a client-facing consulting role.
- Background in enterprise architecture and large-scale system integrations.
- Experience with global delivery models and multicultural teams.
