Job Description
Are you a student or a teen looking for an exciting part-time job that fits around your studies? Village Cinemas Geelong is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Cinema Ushers to join our friendly team! This entry-level role is perfect for individuals with no prior experience, as full training will be provided. You’ll be the face of our cinema, ensuring our guests have a fantastic experience from start to finish. If you love movies and enjoy a dynamic work environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and direct them to their cinemas
- Check tickets efficiently and ensure smooth entry into auditoriums
- Monitor cinema auditoriums for cleanliness and guest comfort during screenings
- Assist guests with seating and general inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness of the cinema foyer, restrooms, and common areas
- Perform general cleaning duties before, during, and after movie sessions
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve minor issues promptly and courteously
- Adhere to all cinema safety and operational procedures
Required Skills
- No prior experience required – full training provided!
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- A passion for movies and the entertainment industry
- Previous experience in a customer service role (highly regarded but not essential)
- Currently enrolled in high school or tertiary education
