Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Cloud Architect with extensive experience in both AWS and Azure platforms to join our dynamic team in Saint John, New Brunswick. This pivotal role involves designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions for our diverse clientele. As a Global Talent / Sponsorship Supported position, we welcome applications from international candidates who require sponsorship to work in Canada. You will be instrumental in translating business requirements into effective cloud architecture, driving innovation, and ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on AWS and Azure platforms.
- Develop comprehensive cloud architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps.
- Lead the migration of on-premise applications and infrastructure to cloud environments.
- Ensure cloud solutions adhere to industry best practices, security standards, and compliance regulations.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate cloud services seamlessly.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior cloud engineers and architects.
- Evaluate new cloud technologies and services to recommend their adoption where beneficial.
- Manage and optimize cloud resource utilization and costs.
- Troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues and provide expert guidance for resolution.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering.
- Demonstrable expertise in AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, EKS).
- Demonstrable expertise in Azure (e.g., Virtual Machines, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, VNet, Azure AD, AKS).
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation/ARM Templates.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a global and multicultural team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with serverless architectures on both AWS and Azure.
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
- Prior experience in a consulting or client-facing role.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
