Job Description

Are you a budding filmmaker, storyteller, or creative enthusiast with a passion for bringing commercial concepts to life? Meridian Creative Agency is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Commercial Directing & Producing Intern to join our vibrant team in Southport. This entry-level internship offers an unparalleled opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of advertising production. You will work closely with our experienced directors and producers, learning the ropes from concept development through to final delivery. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn and contribute to high-impact commercial projects, with full training provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior directors and producers with pre-production tasks, including research, location scouting, casting support, and scheduling.
  • Support on-set production, including managing equipment, coordinating talent, and ensuring smooth operation of shoots.
  • Contribute to post-production processes, such as organizing footage, assisting with edits, and preparing assets.
  • Help develop creative concepts and storyboards for various commercial projects.
  • Attend client meetings and internal brainstorming sessions, actively participating and providing fresh insights.
  • Manage and organize production files and documentation.
  • Perform administrative duties as needed to support the production team.

Required Skills

  • Strong passion for film, video production, and advertising.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proactive attitude and a strong willingness to learn.
  • Basic understanding of production workflows is a plus, but not essential.
  • Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Film Production, Media Studies, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Previous experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve) through personal projects or coursework.
  • A portfolio showcasing personal video projects, short films, or creative work (even student-level projects are welcome).
  • Familiarity with camera equipment and lighting basics.
