Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Commercial Diver to join our dynamic marine construction team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in executing a wide range of underwater tasks crucial to our civil engineering and construction projects. This role demands a high level of technical proficiency, adherence to stringent safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in challenging marine environments. You will be responsible for performing inspections, repairs, installations, and various other construction-related duties beneath the water’s surface, contributing directly to the successful completion of our diverse project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform underwater inspections, surveys, and site investigations of marine structures and seabed.
  • Execute underwater construction tasks including cutting, welding, drilling, and use of hydraulic tools.
  • Install, repair, and maintain subsea pipelines, cables, and other infrastructure components.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of diving equipment, tools, and systems.
  • Adhere strictly to company safety protocols, industry standards, and relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Assist with rigging, lifting, and salvage operations.
  • Communicate effectively with the surface team, supervisors, and other project personnel.
  • Complete detailed dive logs and project reports.
  • Participate in pre-dive briefings and post-dive debriefings.

Required Skills

  • HSE Commercial Diving qualification (Parts 1, 2, or 3, or equivalent internationally recognized certification)
  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience as a Commercial Diver in marine construction or related field.
  • Proficiency in underwater cutting, welding, and burning techniques.
  • Experience with various underwater tools and equipment (e.g., hydraulic tools, concrete placement, dredging systems).
  • Strong understanding of marine safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in challenging underwater conditions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid full UK driving license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced First Aid / Offshore Medic certification.
  • CSWIP 3.1U / 3.2U Underwater Inspection qualification.
  • Experience with subsea NDT techniques.
  • Rope Access or Confined Space qualifications.
  • Experience operating remote operated vehicles (ROVs) or other subsea robotics.
