Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Commercial Pilots to join our dedicated team in Swansea. As a Commercial Pilot with DHL Aviation, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our cargo aircraft, ensuring the timely transport of goods across our extensive network. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to all aviation regulations, and excellent decision-making skills under varying operational conditions. You will work as part of a professional flight crew, collaborating with ground operations teams to maintain our high standards of service and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate aircraft safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies, procedures, and aviation regulations.
- Perform pre-flight inspections, flight planning, and post-flight duties.
- Monitor aircraft systems and respond appropriately to any abnormalities.
- Communicate effectively with air traffic control, ground crews, and other flight personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Maintain accurate flight logs and operational documentation.
- Adapt to varying weather conditions and operational challenges.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
Required Skills
- Valid UK CAA or EASA Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with ATPL theory credit.
- Current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Minimum 1500 hours total flight time, with at least 500 hours on multi-engine aircraft.
- Type rating on relevant cargo aircraft (e.g., A300, B757, B767) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in English (ICAO Level 4 or higher).
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in cargo operations.
- Experience operating in diverse international airspace.
- Familiarity with DHL Aviation's operational procedures.
- Additional language proficiency.
