Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facility Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of a prominent commercial high-rise property in Hobart. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe functioning of the building, managing vendor relationships, supervising on-site staff, and maintaining high standards of tenant satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of building systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of facility operations, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and capital projects.
- Oversee building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, and life safety systems.
- Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective maintenance and repair solutions.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Respond to tenant requests and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
- Supervise and train on-site facility staff and contractors.
- Implement and maintain energy efficiency programs and sustainability initiatives.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on facility performance, budget, and compliance.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in facility management, particularly within commercial high-rise properties.
- Strong knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
