Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and refinement of new food product prototypes.
  • Conduct sensory evaluations and gather feedback on product samples.
  • Perform basic laboratory analyses on food ingredients and products.
  • Support the culinary team in recipe formulation and ingredient sourcing.
  • Document experimental results, procedures, and observations accurately.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions for innovative food concepts.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards in all experimental work.

Required Skills

  • Strong interest in food science, culinary arts, or nutrition.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Food Science, Culinology, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a food lab, commercial kitchen, or food-related project work (academic or extracurricular).
  • Knowledge of food safety principles (HACCP, GMP).
