Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Curriculum Developer / Designer to join our dynamic team in Norwalk, CT. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality educational content and learning experiences across various subjects and modalities. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional technologists, and other stakeholders to create innovative curricula that meet learning objectives and engage diverse student populations. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and revise comprehensive curriculum materials, including course outlines, lesson plans, learning objectives, and assessment strategies.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content, ensure accuracy, and integrate best practices in instructional design.
  • Utilize various authoring tools and technologies to create engaging digital and print learning resources.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and edits of all curriculum materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and pedagogical effectiveness.
  • Incorporate feedback from pilot programs, evaluations, and stakeholder reviews to iteratively improve curriculum content.
  • Stay current with educational trends, research in learning sciences, and advancements in instructional technology.
  • Manage multiple curriculum development projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and quality standards.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in curriculum development or instructional design.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles (ADDIE, SAM, backward design).
  • Proficiency in developing engaging and effective learning content for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
  • Experience with adult learning principles and corporate training programs.
  • Proficiency in specific authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or Camtasia.
  • Experience in educational technology or publishing industry.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) in content development.
