Job Description
As a Pharmacist at Boots UK in Mansfield, you will be instrumental in providing outstanding pharmaceutical care and health advice to our diverse customer base. You will manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions while adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines. This role requires a dedicated professional who is passionate about patient care, capable of leading a team, and committed to enhancing the health outcomes of the local community. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and safely dispense prescriptions in accordance with legal and professional guidelines.
- Provide expert advice on medication, health conditions, and lifestyle choices to customers.
- Oversee and manage the pharmacy team, including dispenser and counter assistants.
- Conduct various health services, such as vaccinations, medication reviews, and health checks.
- Maintain robust clinical governance and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Manage pharmacy stock levels, ordering, and inventory control.
- Handle patient queries and resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
- Promote Boots healthcare services and products to enhance customer wellbeing.
- Participate in continuous professional development to stay updated with best practices.
Required Skills
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Minimum 2 years post-registration experience in a community pharmacy setting.
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Proficiency in pharmacy IT systems and dispensing software.
- Commitment to patient safety and ethical practice.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Independent Prescriber qualification.
- Experience in advanced clinical services (e.g., NMS, MURs, flu vaccinations).
- Management or supervisory experience within a pharmacy.
- Additional postgraduate qualifications in a relevant clinical area.
- Fluency in an additional language relevant to the local community.
