Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Database Developer with expertise in SQL to join our team in Carnarvon. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing large-scale record systems, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security for critical operations. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions that support our extensive infrastructure and customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases and schemas for large-scale record management.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for efficiency.
- Collaborate with application developers and data analysts to ensure seamless data integration.
- Implement and maintain data security measures, including access controls and encryption.
- Perform regular database backups, recovery, and disaster planning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
- Document database designs, configurations, and processes.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in SQL database development.
- Proficiency in T-SQL or PL/SQL.
- Strong understanding of relational database design principles.
- Experience with large-scale data sets and high-transaction environments.
- Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with database administration tasks (DBA).
- Knowledge of other database technologies (e.g., NoSQL, cloud databases).
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
