Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Rooms to lead our Front Office and Housekeeping departments at Malmaison Liverpool. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and revenue generation within the rooms division. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a passion for luxury hospitality and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Front Office, Concierge, and Housekeeping departments.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty, exceeding luxury brand standards.
- Manage departmental budgets, forecast occupancy, and control expenses to maximize profitability.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and efficiently, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and operational synergy.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for service enhancement and revenue growth.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure impeccable cleanliness and maintenance standards.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a luxury hotel's Rooms Division (Front Office, Housekeeping).
- Proven track record of achieving high guest satisfaction scores and operational targets.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management, forecasting, and cost control.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and other relevant hotel software.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel environment.
- Multilingual abilities.
- Previous experience with hotel pre-opening or major renovation projects.
