Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispensary Assistant to join our pharmacy team in Chester. In this vital role, you will support our pharmacists in the efficient and accurate dispensing of prescriptions, manage pharmacy stock, and provide excellent customer service to our patients. This position requires strong organizational skills, a compassionate approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare retail environment. You will be a key point of contact for patients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in the accurate and safe dispensing of prescription medications.
  • Manage and organize pharmacy stock, including receiving, checking, and putting away orders.
  • Provide excellent customer service, handling patient queries and directing them to the appropriate healthcare professional.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in line with GDPR regulations.
  • Process sales transactions and handle cash and card payments.
  • Ensure the dispensary area is kept clean, tidy, and organized according to health and safety standards.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, record-keeping, and preparing prescription labels.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations or medical terminology.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.
  • First Aid certification.
