Job Description
Are you passionate about the outdoors and enjoy keeping spaces clean and welcoming? BrightView Landscapes is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Dog Park Cleanup Crew member in Oxnard, CA. This essential role involves maintaining the cleanliness and safety of local dog parks, ensuring they remain pleasant and hygienic environments for dogs and their owners. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, all aimed at upholding the highest standards of park cleanliness and appearance. This is a physically active role that requires reliability, attention to detail, and a genuine enjoyment of working outdoors, often around dogs.
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly patrol designated dog park areas to identify and remove pet waste.
- Empty and clean waste receptacles and replace liners as needed.
- Monitor park grounds for litter, debris, and potential hazards, and remove them promptly.
- Perform light landscaping tasks such as picking up fallen branches or clearing pathways.
- Report any maintenance issues, vandalism, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report needs.
- Operate basic cleaning tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs), walking, and standing for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be comfortable working around dogs and their owners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in outdoor maintenance, landscaping, or cleaning.
- Familiarity with local park regulations.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
