Job Description
Are you passionate about sustainability and looking for an entry point into the vital recycling industry? Cleanaway is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as an E-Waste Processor – Dismantle Tech. This entry-level role is perfect for someone eager to learn and contribute to environmental protection. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient dismantling of electronic waste, helping to recover valuable materials and prevent harmful substances from entering landfills. Full training will be provided, ensuring you have all the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely dismantle various types of electronic waste (e.g., computers, TVs, small appliances, mobile devices).
- Sort and separate components into designated categories for recycling and proper disposal.
- Operate basic hand and power tools for dismantling tasks in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of e-waste materials using appropriate equipment.
- Identify and report any hazardous materials or safety concerns encountered during processing.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure proper sorting and dismantling.
- Basic manual dexterity and physical stamina for repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.
- A proactive attitude and a strong willingness to learn new skills and processes.
- Commitment to workplace safety protocols and environmental best practices.
- Reliable and punctual with good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment is a plus (but not required).
- Basic knowledge of electronics or experience with hand tools is advantageous.
- Forklift license or willingness to obtain one (training can be provided).
