Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Environmental Science & Sustainability Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both field and office settings, supporting various environmental and sustainability projects. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced professionals, contributing to real-world projects, data collection, analysis, and report preparation. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for students passionate about environmental science, conservation, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist project managers and environmental specialists with field investigations, including data collection, site assessments, and sampling activities (e.g., soil, water, air).
  • Support the preparation of environmental reports, permits, and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct research on environmental regulations, sustainability best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Perform data entry, analysis, and interpretation using various software tools, including GIS.
  • Participate in client meetings and internal project team discussions to understand project scopes and objectives.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives for internal operations and client projects.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project files and documentation.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during field and office work.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Ecology, Geology, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in environmental protection, conservation, and sustainability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of coursework in GIS, environmental regulations, hydrology, or toxicology.
  • Prior experience with data analysis or scientific writing.
  • Familiarity with environmental sampling techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
