Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Equestrian Center Event Assistant to join our team for weekend horse shows. This part-time role is perfect for individuals passionate about the equestrian world and looking to gain hands-on experience in event management. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our weekend shows run smoothly, providing support to event staff, competitors, and spectators. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with event setup and tear-down, including arena preparation, banner placement, and vendor booth support.
  • Greet and direct competitors, spectators, and vendors upon arrival.
  • Provide information and assistance at designated points, such as registration desks or warm-up areas.
  • Help manage event logistics, including parking, crowd flow, and general facility organization.
  • Monitor designated areas for cleanliness and safety, reporting any issues to event management.
  • Support judges, stewards, and other officials as needed with administrative tasks.
  • Assist with awards ceremonies and prize distribution.
  • Handle light administrative duties, such as distributing event programs or information sheets.
  • Be a friendly and helpful presence, ensuring a positive experience for all attendees.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with horses or in an equestrian environment.

  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of basic horse show procedures and terminology.
