Job Description
Join the Northern Events Group as an Event Bumping Crew member! This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals seeking short-term, physically engaging work to support the setup and teardown of various events in Armidale. As part of our dynamic team, you will be crucial in ensuring our events run smoothly and efficiently. No prior experience in event ‘bumping’ is necessary, as full training will be provided to all successful candidates. We’re looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who are ready to roll up their sleeves and contribute to a vibrant event environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of event equipment, staging, and furniture.
- Support the setup of event venues, including stages, lighting, sound systems, and decor.
- Follow instructions from event managers and supervisors to ensure efficient operations.
- Safely dismantle and pack down event equipment post-event.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout the event lifecycle.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with other crew members to achieve project goals.
Required Skills
- Strong physical fitness and stamina to handle manual labour and lifting.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physical labour role or event support is a plus but not required.
- Current White Card (Construction Induction Card) is beneficial.
- A valid driver's license and own transport are advantageous.
