Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping operations in Laredo, Texas. This pivotal role involves overseeing the cleanliness, maintenance, and aesthetic appeal of our hotel, ensuring the highest standards of guest satisfaction. The Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for managing a dedicated team, implementing efficient operational procedures, and maintaining inventory control. This position is open to qualified candidates requiring sponsorship, reflecting our commitment to attracting global talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the housekeeping department, including guest rooms, public areas, and laundry operations.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise housekeeping staff, ensuring adherence to brand standards and safety procedures.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules, inspection programs, and quality control measures.
  • Monitor and manage departmental budget, control expenses, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, ordering as needed.
  • Respond to guest requests and concerns promptly and efficiently, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front office and engineering, to ensure seamless hotel operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the team.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and health and safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel brand.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish).
  • Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) and housekeeping management software.
