Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Broome, Western Australia. This role focuses on ongoing service, maintenance, and fault-finding for a wide range of fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial settings. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in accordance with Australian Standards.
- Perform fault diagnosis and repair on various fire detection and warning systems.
- Complete accurate service reports and documentation for all work performed.
- Provide clear communication with clients regarding service status and recommendations.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in an on-call roster as required.
- Ensure all work is carried out to the highest quality standards and compliance requirements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.
- Relevant electrical licence (e.g., WA Electrical Licence or equivalent).
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards AS 1670, AS 1851, and AS 2293.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent.
- Experience with various fire alarm brands (e.g., Notifier, Ampac, Pertronic).
- Current working at heights and confined spaces tickets.
- First Aid certification.
