Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Fisheries Intern to join our Marine Research team. This placement offers an unparalleled opportunity for individuals passionate about marine science and fisheries management to gain hands-on experience in a leading government research environment. You will work alongside experienced scientists and researchers, contributing to vital projects focused on aquatic biodiversity, fish stock assessment, habitat restoration, and environmental monitoring. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior researchers with data collection in both field and laboratory settings.
- Support the maintenance of research equipment and facilities.
- Participate in data entry, organization, and preliminary analysis.
- Contribute to literature reviews and background research for ongoing projects.
- Learn and adhere to all safety protocols and ethical guidelines for marine research.
- Prepare basic reports and presentations on assigned tasks.
